abstract | THE PRESENT INVENTION REFERS TO THE USE OF ANTIBODIES AGAINST THE THOMSEN-FRIEDENREICH (TF) ANTIGEN AS REAGENTS FOR THE IN VITRO DIAGNOSIS OF MICROSATELLITE INSTABILITY (MSI). THE PRESENT INVENTION ALSO REFERS TO COMPOSITIONS FOR THE IN VITRO DIAGNOSIS OF MSI INCLUDING ANTIBODIES ANTIGEN TF. THE PRESENT INVENTION FURTHER DISCLOSES A METHOD FOR THE IN VITRO DIAGNOSIS OF MSI WHICH INCLUDES CONTACTING SUCH COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING TF ANTIGEN ANTIBODIES WITH A TISSUE SAMPLE AND ASSESSING TF ANTIGEN EXPRESSION IN THE CELL. THE PRESENT INVENTION ALSO REFERS TO A KIT COMPRISING THE ABOVE COMPOSITIONS FOR THE DETECTION OF MSI BY CARRYING OUT THE METHOD DISCLOSED IN THE PRESENT INVENTION. THE USE, COMPOSITIONS, METHODS AND KITTING OF THE PRESENT INVENTION MAY BE Advantageously APPLIED TO CANCER, INCLUDING AS NON-LIMITING EXAMPLES GASTRIC AND COLORECTAL CARCINOMAS, TO SIGNIFICANTLY FACILITATE THE IN VITRO DIAGNOSIS OF A MSINICIAN, NON-LIMITING MSINIC, AND CLINICAL CONTEXT , SIMPLE, FAST, SENSITIVE AND SPECIFIC FOR DIAGNOSIS, PROGNOSIS OR PREDICTION OF RESPONSE TO TREATMENT WITH IMMUNOTHERAPY. |
