THE BIOREKNOWLEDGE ELEMENT IS A LAYER OF BIOLOGICAL/SYNTHETIC MATERIAL, WHICH IS DEPOSITED IN ANY LOCATION OF THE ELECTROCHEMICAL SYSTEM, WHICH INTERACTS DIRECTLY WITH A GIVEN SAMPLE TO ESTABLISH THE LINK TO THE DESIRED BIOMOLECULE. THIS INTERACTION PROMOTES A CHANGE IN THE ENERGY PRODUCED BY THE PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL OF THE ELECTROCHEMICAL SYSTEM, WHICH IS DEPENDENT ON THE TYPE AND/OR AMOUNT OF CONNECTED BIOMOLECULE. THIS CHANGE IN ENERGY IS SIGNALED BY THE TRANSDUCER, WHICH PRODUCES LIGHT/COLOR IN A SIGNALING AREA WHICH CONTAINS, FOR EXAMPLE, A LED/ELECTROCHROME MATERIAL.
