abstract |
The present invention consists of a catalytic system for the production of synthesis gas by electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide comprising an innovative combination of a catalytic catalase and zinc oxide and an electrolyte containing an ionic liquid, water and possibly an organic additive in CONDITIONS NEXT TO THERMODYNAMIC REVERSIBILITY.THE PRESENT INVENTION ALSO SAYS A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SYNTHESIS GAS USING THE CATALYTIC SYSTEM REFERRED PREVIOUSLY IN A TEMPERATURE RANGE BETWEEN THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND 100 AND IN A PRESSURE RANGE BETWEEN ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE AND 100 BAR (10 MPa). IT IS INTENDED TO USE CARBON DIOXIDE FROM INDUSTRIAL EMISSIONS CONTRIBUTING SO TO REDUCE EMISSIONS WITH GREENHOUSE EFFECT TO THE ATMOSPHERE. THE PRODUCTION SYNTHESIS GAS MAY BE USED AS FUEL, OR ENERGY STORAGE ENERGY VECTOR, OR AS PRIMARY MATTER FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CHEMICALS. |
