abstract | In this invention a method for producing large-diameter aerial parts is described. FOR THAT A FELT OF FIBERS OF SILICA IS ADDED TO AEROGELS PREPARED FROM TRIALCOXYSILANS (METILTRIMETOXISILANO AND METILTRIETOXISILANO). THE CHARACTERISTIC PROPERTIES OF AEROGELS PRODUCED WITH THESE TRIALCOXYSILANS, ESPECIALLY FLEXIBILITY, LOW DENSITY, LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND HYDROFOBICITY, AS WELL AS THE APPLICABILITY OF THEM FROM CRYOGENIC TEMPERATURES UNTIL AT LEAST 350 ° C, ARE HELD IN THE FINAL COMPOSITE AEROGEL. THE FELT IS USED TO CONFER MECHANICAL RESISTANCE TO THE AEROGEL, ALLOWING THE MANUFACTURE OF THIS MATERIAL WITH HIGH DIMENSIONS, WHICH HAS BEEN AN IMPORTANT LIMITATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THESE MATERIALS. APPLICATIONS OF THE MATERIAL DESCRIBED IN THIS INVENTION INCLUDE THERMAL INSULATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, GAS AND OIL SECTORS, CRYOGENE, THERMOELECTRIC, AERONAUTICAL AND SPACE. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE HIGH SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA, THIS MATERIAL PRESENTS STILL POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL AND EFFLUENT TREATMENT SECTORS. |
