titleOfInvention | CASE AND PROCESS FOR THE DETECTION OF GENETIC RISK FOR OBESITY OF NUTRITIONAL AND CLINICAL INTEREST, THROUGH THE DETERMINATION OF POLYMORPHYSMS IN HUMAN GENES INVOLVED IN THE PHENOMENON OF OBESITY |
abstract | The present invention relates to a kit for collecting DNA samples and a process for the determination of polymorphisms of human DNA associated with the genetic risk to the phenomenon of obesity through the use of an amplification technique of regions of interest DNA, which uses oligonucleotide specific initiators to amplify a region of DNA containing the genes of interest, followed by sequencing, or any other method of direct genetitising of the products amplified by the method of blood. The present invention is also concerned with the development of a kit for the collection of DNA samples contained in saliva cells with sufficient quality to be processed subsequently by the said process. In this manner, the present invention is useful in detecting the individual genetic risk for the obesity phenotype with the advantage of disclosing a simple, rapid, reliable and low cost method, which can be applied in the nutritional, clinical, pharmaceutical and food sectors. |
