abstract | FASCIOLOSIS IS AN ANTHROPOZOONOTIC DISEASE CAUSED BY THE FASCIOLA HEPATIC TREMATODE. THIS VERME IS A COMMON PARASITE OF THE RUMINANTS, OVERWEIGHT SHEEP, GOATS AND CATTLE, WHOSE ADULT WATCH IS FOUND IN THE BILIARY DUCTS OF THE DEFINITIVE HOSPEDEIRO. FASCOSOLISM IS A PARASITIC ZOONOSIS THAT CONTAINS SERIOUS ECONOMIC LOSSES WITH AN IMPACT ON PUBLIC HEALTH. DIAGNOSTICS AT PHASCIOLOSIS LEVEL ARE ESSENTIALLY SEROLOGICAL AND PARASITOLOGICAL FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF EGGS IN FEZES OR VERMES IN THE LIVER. DIAGNOSTICS THAT DO NOT ALLOW DIAGNOSTICS IN THE FIELD HAVING DIFFICULTY THE EFFECTIVE CONTROL OF THE DISEASE ARE NOT AVAILABLE. We carry out the isolation of CDNA clones by coding for a polypeptide of 69 amino acids with a calculated mass of 8 KDA, which we call FH8 or FASCOLIN (GENBANK NUMBER AE2 13970). RESULTS OBTAINED SHOWN THAT FH8 HAS ALLERGEN CHARACTERISTICS. These results served as a basis for the development of the invention which has the objective of detecting definitive hosts infected by Verme F. hepatica through the in vivo application of FH8 (FASCOLIN) ANTIGEN, OR OTHER ANTIGEN WITH SIMILAR SEQUENCE, AT THE SKIN LEVEL. OTHER ASPECT OF THE INVENTION CONCERNS THE FORMULATION OF SKIN APPLICATION AND READINGS OF THE REACTION ARISING IN SHEEP AND BOVINE. Although the formulations described refer to these two types of host, the idealized method has application in all hostesses that can be potentially infected with F. hepatica. THESE TESTS HAVE AS MAIN ADVANTAGES THE POSSIBILITY OF THEY CAN BE PERFORMED ON THE FIELD, ARE EASY TO EXECUTE AND QUICKLY IN OBTAINING THE RESULTS, AND CAN PRESENT GREAT UTILITY IN THE CONTROL OF FASCOSOLOSIS. |
