The present invention relates to a portable laboratory micro-system for real-time analysis of biological fluids, in particular the measurement of the concentration of bio-molecules in such fluids, for application in clinical analyzes. This device combines microchannels, optical filters, detectors and reading electronics in a single micro-system, being able to quantify the concentration of biomolecules using white light as a light source, thus avoiding the use of a source of specific monochromatic light from a laser, for example. The operating principle is based on colorimetric detection by optical absorption. A beam of white light is directed to the detection chamber, in which the mixture to be analyzed is located. This beam is filtered by a narrow band optical filter at the appropriate wavelength. The intensity of the light transmitted through the mixture, proportional to the concentration of the biomolecule under analysis, is measured by a photodetector placed below the detection chamber. |
