abstract | The present invention relates to antimicrobial bromonitrostyrene or bromonitroethenylfuran compositions which are formed in a solvent vehicle system comprising propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate or mixtures thereof. The propylene carbonate system can additionally include tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol. The compositions present good activity and stability, are non-toxic, non- flammable, non-corrosive, odourless and colourless, and have desirable boiling points and flash points and desirable vapour pressure. |
