Also new are pharmaceutical compsns. contg. (A), (B) or cpds. of partial formula (D) plus usual excipients or vehicles. 13 Cpds. are specifically claimed, including 3,20-dioxo-6-X- 17alpha-acetoxy-19-nor -pregna-4-ene (X = HCO, CHF2, acetoxymethyl or methoxymethyl) or 3,20-dioxo- 6-X'-17alpha-acetoxy -19-nor-pregna-4,6-diene (X' = CHF2, CH2Cl, tosyloxymethyl or HCO).
