titleOfInvention Method of obtaining poly (1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)
abstract The subject of the invention is a pressure polymerization process of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (VP), enabling the production of chemically pure poly (1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) PVP, consisting in the fact that the monomer in the form of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (VP) ) with a purity preferably above 99%, mixed with an azobis (isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) thermo-initiator in a weight ratio of thermo-initiator to monomer in the range of 0.01-0.15 wt% per 1 g of VP, then the reaction mixture is heated to the temperature in the range from 50 to 70 ° C, preferably 60 ° C, and compresses in the capsule of the autoclave under a pressure ranging from 125 to 500 MPa, preferably 250 MPa, for the time necessary to obtain the desired degree of monomer conversion.
