abstract The subject of the application is a stump, used to secure the position of the tripod set on hard surfaces, in which the tripod's spikes cannot be driven, especially during measurements in engineering surveying. The joint has a conical, open body (1) facing the open part downwards, in which there is also a flexible conical diaphragm (2) with a steel rod mounted near its top, passing through the opening in the upper part of the body (1). The upper end of the rod protruding from the body is articulated with the double-sided lever (4) with a bifurcated lower arm by means of a steel pin (5) passing perpendicular to the lever through the hole near the upper end of the rod. There is a compression helical spring on the rod between the internal surface of the body and the diaphragm, and a steel washer is placed under the lower end of the lever (4) on the body. From the top, the body (1) is equipped with two reinforcing ribs (8), and the body's rim is connected to the limiter (9) in the form of a flat bar extending radially outside with a triangular cutout (10) in its free end. The body (1) with the reinforcing ribs (8) and the stop (9) form one whole and are preferably made of ABS plastic (copolymer composed of acrylonitrile butadiene, styrene). Also, the lever (4) is preferably made of ABS plastic, while the flexible diaphragm (2) is preferably made of silicone rubber.
