titleOfInvention | Method of obtaining Knoevenagel reaction products |
abstract | The method of obtaining the products of the Knoevenagl reaction, consisting in the reaction of a carbonyl compound with a compound having an active methylene group, in the presence of a catalyst, is characterized by the use of an amino acid ionic liquid dissolved in water with the general formula 1, where KAT + stands for tetrabutylammonium, tributylmethylammonium and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium and R is a side chain on the α, L-amino acid. L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-histidine, L-threonine, L-valine, L-methionine, L-tryptophan, L-tyrosine are used as the L-amino acid. The amino acid ionic liquid is used in the amount of 0.625 - 5% (mol / mol of one of the substrates - the carbonyl compound or the compound with an active methylene group). The starting materials are introduced in equimolar amounts. Water is used in an amount of 40-200 ml / mmol of the amino acid ionic liquid, preferably 120 ml / mmol. The reaction is carried out at a temperature in the range 25-50 ° C in an air atmosphere for 15-120 minutes. Preferably, after completion of the reaction, the product is separated by filtration, and the filtrate remaining after the product is filtered off, containing the amino acid ionic liquid dissolved in water, is reused in the synthesis. |
