titleOfInvention | An industrial production method for polyethers or polytioethers, star-shaped, and their use |
abstract | The subject of the invention is a process for the production on an industrial scale of polyethers or polytioethers, star-shaped, with an increased molecular weight and reduced viscosity in relation to linear polyethers of propylene oxide and ethylene, by anionic polymerization and their use as admixtures for commercially available commercial polymers (CAP) inactive or slightly optically active, preferably to poly (methyl methacrylate), polystyrene or polycarbonate. The method consists in introducing an anionic initiator in the form of potassium hydride in a suspension of mineral oil, an ether solvent from the ether group, a cyclic ligand and glycidol into a reactor filled with inert gas at a temperature of 15 to 36 ° C, with the cyclic ligand and glycidol a suitable organic solvent is added in the solution and the dosing rate is conditioned by a temperature that may not exceed the boiling point of the solvent used. Then the whole is mixed at a speed necessary and sufficient to obtain a homogeneous suspension, then the alkylene oxide of general formula 1 is added, and after the monomer has been depleted, the alcoholate end groups are converted into hydroxyl groups by mixing the mixture with an inorganic solvent enabling obtaining alcoholate end groups or an ion exchanger, in an equimolar amount relative to the resulting alcoholate active centers. |
