The pressurized container, for the storage of a gas under pressure, is a pipe with longitudinal welds (1,2) which is closed at both ends. An opening is at least at one end to fill the pipe and take off the gas contents. The pipe is welded longitudinally, using a UOE process, with a diameter of at least 508 mm and a minimum stretch limit of at least multiply 70. The open ends are closed by bonded flanges (4,5), where one has the filling/emptying opening. The welded pipe is suitable for filling with a minimum pressure of 200 bar at room temperatures. The longitudinal weld, and the other welds (3,6,7), are formed to meet the highest possible durable oscillation strength in relation to large loading amplitudes. |
