A high cleaning low abrasion dentifrice containing a silica hydrogel having a mean particle size from about 5 to about 11 microns; an Einlehner hardness of from 1 to about 20; an oil absorption of about 40 to less than about 100 cc/g, a BET surface area from 100 to 700 m2/g of silica, the particles having a morphology characterized by glass conchoidal fracture surfaces whereby, the dentifrice composition has a RDA of 110 to 200 and a PCR from about 150 to about 300. |
