titleOfInvention A material for producing biodegradable moldings, especially dishes and packaging, and a method for producing biodegradable moldings, especially dishes and packaging
abstract The material for the production of biodegradable shapes, especially dishes and packaging, consists of 95-100% by weight of loose bran, especially wheat, which is a fraction selected from bran with a grain size of 0.01 to 2.80 mm, containing from 7% to 45% of water structurally bound in the form of moisture, and optionally up to 5% by weight of a mixture of impregnating substances and/or flavor and/or fragrance additives and/or non-fibrous fillers and/or humectants and/or color additives. The method of manufacturing biodegradable shapes, especially dishes and packaging, with the use of grain milling products consists in the fact that loose bran, especially wheat bran with grain size from 0.01 to 2.80 mm in the amount of 95-100% by weight, containing from 7% to 45% structurally bound water in the form of moisture, optionally dry-mixed with a mixture of impregnating substances and/or flavoring and/or fragrance additives and/or non-fibrous fillers and/or humectants and/or coloring additives in an amount of up to 5% by weight in total, the measured amount the thus obtained loose material is placed on one of the parts of a multi-part, preferably two-part mould, the mold is closed and the mixture is subjected to the simultaneous action of a temperature in the range of 20°C to 450°C and pressure in the range of 1-10 MPa and/or a pressure force of up to 100 t/cm2 at a piston pressure of up to 320 MPa in tens of seconds.
