titleOfInvention Wet installation for flue gas desulphurization
abstract An absorption tower body including inlet and outlet ducts is provided on an upper portion of and unitarily with a circulation tank, and has a self-supporting structure supported on the circulation tank alone. At least the foremost spray means in a spray unit in the inlet duct has spray pipes provided with spray nozzles for spraying an absorption liquid in the direction in which an exhaust gas flows, and at least the rearmost spray means has spray pipes provided with spray nozzles for spraying an absorption liquid in the direction opposite to the direction in which the exhaust gas flows. Since this apparatus has a unitary structure in which the upper portion of the circulation tank constitutes a part of an absorption tower duct, an absorption tower structure can self-support. Moreover, the absorption tower structure has simple construction, so that it has a high strength. Namely, an additional structure for supporting the absorption tower duct need not be provided, which constitutes the big characteristics of this apparatus.
