titleOfInvention A method for producing a food product, especially cereals, and an installation for producing a food product, especially cereals
abstract A food product is manufactured by a two-stage extrusion process, with a cooking stage between the two extrusion stages. The mixture of ingredients enters (7) and passes through the first extrusion stage (1), then passes through a cooker (4), connected in parallel. It is then returned (9) to the extruder for its second stage (2) before final ejection (5) and cutting of extruded product. The extruder has two parallel screws. The products in the two stages are kept separate by a dynamic separator.
