abstract | Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 denotes hydrogen, lower alkoxycarbonyl, heterocyclylcarbonyl, benzyloxycarbonyl, which is unsubstituted or substituted by up to three radicals selected independently of one another from fluorine, halo-lower alkyl, lower alkanoyl, sulpho, lower alkylsulphonyl and cyano, heterocyclyloxycarbonyl in which heterocyclyl is bonded via a carbon atom, one of the carbonyl radicals mentioned, in which the binding carbonyl group is replaced by a thiocarbonyl group, heterocyclylsulphonyl, lower alkylsulphonyl or N-(heterocyclyl-lower alkyl)-N-lower alkylaminocarbonyl, B1 denotes a bond or bivalent radical of an a-amino acid which is bonded at the terminal N to R1 and at the terminal C to the amino group on the carbon atom carrying R2-CH2-, R2 and R3 independently of one another denote phenyl or cyclohexyl, where these radicals are unsubstituted or substituted by one to three radicals selected independently of one another from hydroxyl, lower alkoxy, halo, halo-lower alkyl, sulpho, lower alkylsulphonyl, cyano and nitro, A1 denotes a bond between -C=O and A2 or a bivalent radical of an a-amino acid which is bonded at the terminal N to the group -C=O and at the terminal C to A2, A2 denotes a bivalent radical of an a-amino acid which is bonded at the terminal N to A1 and at the terminal C to the group NR4R5, or A1 and A2 together form a bivalent radical of a dipeptide whose central amide bond is reduced and which is bonded at the terminal N to the group -C=O and at the terminal C to the group NR4R5, and R4 and R5 together with the bonding nitrogen atom denote unsubstituted or substituted thiomorpholino or morpholino, and the salts of these compounds, if salt-forming groups are present, or hydroxy-protected derivatives thereof. These HIV protease inhibitors are used for the treatment of AIDS. |
