abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, containing a thiazole derivative and acylalanine-based germicide as active ingredients and having both preventive and treating effects on a wide range of plant disease injuries and wide application range with excellent controlling effects even on chemical-resistant germs and long residual effectiveness. CONSTITUTION:A germicidal composition containing (A) a compound expressed by the formula (R<1> and R<2> are H or lower alkyl; R<3> is alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl, furyl or thienyl), e.g., 2-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-ylcarbonylamino)-4-methyl-3-penten- enitrile, and (B) an acylalanine-based germicide, e.g., N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-N-(2'- methoxyacetyl)-alanine methyl ester, having controlling action on disease injuries caused by oomycetes at (1:0.1)-(1:10), preferably (1:0.5)-(1:5) ratio of the components (A):(B). The above-mentioned composition has ultralow toxicity to warm-blooded animals or fishes without exhibiting phytotoxicity to cultivated plants. |
