titleOfInvention Method for purifying waste from organic pollutants and nitrogen compounds and a device for application of this method
abstract An invention relates to a facility for purifying sewage from organic impurities and nitrogen compounds. All the facilities for purifying sewage from organic impurities and nitrogen compounds known so far are composed of three separate compartments, i.e.: a purification chamber for organic impurities, a nitrification chamber and a denitrification chamber. The disadvantage of such solutions is that each of the processes has to be conducted in a separate facility at a different time and that the processes require oxygen to be provided for organic compound and ammonianitrogen oxidisation as well as organic carbon for nitrate reduction. In the old method there have been problems in keeping right concentration of light-weight sludge biomass in the nitrification chambers. Further disadvantages of the so-far applied method of sewage treatment are the existence of three independent recirculation cycles and large amount of sludge accumulated, which necessitate building appropriate hydration and neutralisation facilities, large area required for the plant and low flexibility of the process. The objective of this invention is to remove the above-mentioned disadvantages by introducing technological solutions aimed at considerable simplification of facilities used for sewage treatment and improvement of the system efficiency.
