titleOfInvention | Process of making calamansi and yerba buena lozenges |
abstract | The process of making a pharmaceutical lozenge formulation comprising the steps of extracting the juice from the following ingredients: squeezing Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) fruit and crushing the Yerba Buena (Clinopodium douglasii) leaves to extract the juice with the use of mortar and pestle to get its extracts; mixing the water and honey in a pan and bringing it to a boil: allowing it to simmer for hours on low fire; stirring the mixture constantly; removing the mixture from heat; allowing it to cool down; adding the Calamansi and Yerba Buena extracts in the cooled mixture; setting the mixture aside to achieve a viscous consistency preparing the molder; transferring the mixture into the molder; allowing it to harden as lozenges; coating the lozenges in powdered sugar to prevent adhesion; and packaging the lozenges in a small plastic jar by grams. |
