abstract | This utility model relates to a formulation for fungi-infected skin, a mixture of extracts from Origanum vulgare, Vitex negundo, Persea americana, Ehretia microphylla, Blumea balsamifera, Piper betle, and Coconut (Cocos nucifera) oil and Petroleum jelly as the base ingredients. Active ingredients from the leaves' extracts work in synergy combating fungal diseases like ringworm (buni), tinea versicolor/ (tinea flava /an-an), eczema, scabies (galis-aso), athlete's foot (alipunga), nail fungus, jock itch, vaginal yeast infection and mouth thrust. The anti-bacterial, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic properties of the ingredients address problems in cases of severe fungal skin infection and It gives instant relief to itchiness and helps subside swelling, blistering and scaling of skin associated with skin diseases due to the presence of Candida albican. The formulation is utilized by regular application to fungi-infected skin ointment, once a day for mild cases like rashes and 3 times a day in severe and contagious condition, applying after removing the dead skin with the use of sanitary tissue paper or cotton. Formulation has to be applied until fungi and mites are exterminated and relief is attained. The formulation for fungi-infected skin has a powerful potencies within the product was tested among 100 respondents on the onslaught of typhoon Urduja in the Philippines, year 2017. The respondents were suffering from skin diseases due to exposure to a flood water. According to the result of the study, 100 pcnt of the respondents were happy experiencing relief from the distress cause by the skin diseases. The affected skin becomes healthy and gain self-confidence once more. |
