abstract A method of producing organic molluscicide from Sandoricum species for the effective control of golden apple snail (Pomacea canalicu/ata Lam) comprising the following steps: a. gathering mature fruits of Malasantol (Sandoricum vidalii Merr.) and Santol (Sandoricum koetjape Merr.); b. Slicing and chopping the fruits including the seeds of each species and gradually exposing it under the sun until it become so dry for grinding/pulverizing; c) grinding/pulverizing the dried fruits of each species finely by pounding manually or by using a grinding machine; d) screening the pulverized fruits of each species in a fine sieve of 2 mm mess to attain uniform size; e) mixing the pulverized fruit of each species at a ratio of 1:1 wherein 500 grams of pulverized fruit of Malasantol is mixed with 500 grams of pulverized fruit of SantoI to produce 1000 grams or 1 kilogram of organic molluscicide; and f). packing the pulverized organic molluscicide product in an air-tight plastic container preferably snap-lock resealable plastic bags at desired weight and bag sizes.
