abstract | A process of producing carrot juice comprising the steps of: a. Preparing the ingredients by gathering, cleaning and washing and brushing the carrots thoroughly; b. Extracting juice from the carrots; c. Straining the carrot extract with cheese cloth; d. Mixing 1 liter of the strained carrot extract into 2 liters of water and 7 grams of muscuvado (unrefined brown sugar); e. Adding 1/8 teaspoon sodium benzoate per liter of mixture in step d; f. Boiling the mixture up to 80 degrees centigrade in a stainless steel or enamel suitable for cooking container; g. Cooling the solution; and h. Packaging the solution in a desired volume in plastic bottles with seal. |
