titleOfInvention A gas sensor for detecting a gas component
abstract The invention relates to a gas sensor for detecting a gas component. The gas sensor comprises a sensing layer, a first and a second electrode and a heating element. The sensing layer comprises 20-95 wt. pcnt tungsten oxide and 5-80 wt. pcnt elemental tungsten. The combination of tungsten oxide and elemental tungsten constitutes at least 60 wt. pcnt of the sensing layer. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a gas sensor comprising the step of depositing the sensing layer by physical vapour deposition.
