A gas oil composition comprising at least 20.0 pcnt by volume total aromatic content, at least 1.0 pcnt by volume bicyclic aromatic content, at least 0.2 pcnt by volume trior higher cyclic aromatic content, no more than 18.0 pcnt by mass naphthenobenzenes, and no more than 10 ppm by mass sulfur content, and having a density (15oC) of at least 0.8200 g/cm3, and an ASTM colour of at least 0.2, characterised in that the gas oil composition is obtained by hydrogenation-desulfurisation of the stock oil described below, which contains cracked gas oil fraction: stock oil comprising at least 25.0 pcnt by volume total aromatic content, at least 15.0 pcnt by mass total naphthene content, at least 4.0 pcnt by mass bicyclic naphthene content, at least 1.0 pcnt by mass tricyclic naphthene content, and at least 0.50 pcnt by mass sulfur content, and having a 90 pcnt distillation temperature of at least 340.0oC. The gas oil composition of the present invention has excellent oxidative stability. |
