titleOfInvention Culture media for an inoculants a fertilizer which also serve as natural organic pesticides and methods of enhancing decomposition of solid waste
abstract This invention delves on enhancing the decomposition of solid waste by the introduction of culture media for the growth of inoculants and two methods anaerobic fermentation undertaken in improvised digestion tanks and a combination of anaerobic and aerobic fermentation by the use of polyethylene, injecting inoculants derived from indigenous local materials such as, hay, banana trunks, rice, pulp of soya beans and other locally found materials combined together to produce inoculants and a method of processing these inoculants to hasten the microbial growth an optimum level, enhance harvest of Methane gas and organic fertilizer that also serve as an organic pesticide It also relates to the basic techniques of energy recovery. Energy can be recovered from the organic fraction of waste (biodegradable as well as non-biodegradable) basically through two methods as follows:i) Thermo-chemical conversion: This process entails thermal de-composition of organic matter to produce either heat energy or fuel oil or gas; and Bio-chemical conversion: This process is based on enzymatic decomposition of organic matter by microbial action to produce methane gas or alcohol. The Thermo-chemical conversion processes are useful for wastes containing high percentage of organic non-biodegradable matter and low moisture content. The end products of this invention is a mass production of organic fertilizer that would augment the production of crops for the farmers at very low cost compared to the inorganic fertilizer and biogas that provides an alternative energy.
