REFERS TO A PROCESS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF COPPER FROM A ORE OR CONCENTRATE OF COPPER SULFIDE, CHARACTERIZED BY UNDERSTANDING THE FOLLOWING STEPS: 1) SUBMITTING THE ORE OR CONCENTRATED BY PRESSURE IN THE PRESENCE OF OXYGEN AND A SOLUTION OF HALIDE (SELECTED FROM CHLORIDE AND BROMIDE) AND SULPHATE TO OBTAIN A SUSPENSION RESULTING FROM OXIDATION BY PRESSURE; 2) SUBMIT THE SUSPENSION TO LIQUID / SOLID SEPARATION TO OBTAIN A FILTER RESULTING FROM PRESSURE OXIDATION AND A SOLID WASTE CONTAINING AN INSOLUBLE SALT OF BASIC COPPER SULPHATE; 3) RECYCLE THE PRESSURE OXIDATION FILTER TOWARD PRESSURE OXIDATION WHICH IS SUBJECT TO NEUTRALIZATION AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 115�C AND 160�C; 4) LEACH THE BASIC COPPER SULPHATE SALT WITH AN ACID SULPHATE SOLUTION TO DISSOLVE THE SALT AND PRODUCE A LEACHING LIQUID CONTAINING COPPER SULPHATE IN SOLUTION AND A RESULTING SOLID WASTE; 5) SEPARATE THE LEACHING LIQUID FROM THE SOLID WASTE AND SUBMIT IT TO A SOLVENT EXTRACTION PROCESS TO PRODUCE AN EXHAUSTED COPPER CONCENTRATE SOLUTION (THIS STEP MAY BE BEFORE RECYCLING THE FILTERING); AND 6) RECYCLE THE REFINING TOWARDS THE SECOND LEACHING STEP; THE ORE MAY ALSO CONTAIN NON-COMPOSITE METALS (ZINC) AND PRECIOUS METALS (GOLD AND SILVER) |
