titleOfInvention METHODS TO REPAIR HAIR AND SKIN
abstract Compositions, kits and methods are disclosed for repair of bonds, eg, disulfide bonds in hair or on the skin. The compositions provide an enhanced conditioning benefit for dry hair or for moisturizing the skin. The compositions also provide a moisturizing look and long-lasting silky feel on skin or hair, without feeling greasy. The compositions contain one or more compounds that are covalently linked to at least two thiol groups in the hair or on the skin. The use of the binding compositions prevents the reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol states, for at least a week or a month, or more, after a single application of the composition. Also provided are improved methods for hair styling, for example, hair waving, hair curling, hair coloring or lightening and hair straightening, permanent
