THE DERIVATIVE IS PREFERRED 1- (2,6-DICHLORO-4-TRIFLUOROMETHYLPHENYL) -3- (1-METHYL-2,2-DICHLOROCYCLOPROPYL) -5-METHYL-1,2,4-TRIAZOLE. SUCH DERIVATIVES ARE USEFUL, IN AN EFFECTIVE PESTICIDED QUANTITY, TO COMBAT INSECTS OR MITES ON THEIR FOOD SUPPLY, THEIR HABITAT OR BREEDING AREAS, APPLIED ON THE LEAVES OF THE PLANTS OR ON THE SOIL OR IN THE WATER WHERE THEY GROW. INSECTS OR MIRRORS ARE SELECTED FROM ISODIPTERS, DIPTERS, BLATTARIA (BLATTODEA), HYMENOPTERS, SIPHONAPTERS AND ACARINA. THE COMPOUNDS OF FORMULA (I) ARE USEFUL TO TREAT, CONTROL, PREVENT OR PROTECT ANIMALS AGAINST INFESTATION OR INFECTION BY PARASITES SUCH AS DIPTERS, SIPHONAPTERS AND IXODIDES
