abstract WHICH INCLUDES: a) LEACHING A MINERAL MATERIAL CONTAINING PRECIOUS METALS, WITH A THIOCYANATE SOLUTION THAT INCLUDES DISSOLVED THIOCYANATE AND DISSOLVED FERRIC IRON, TO DISSOLVE THE PRECIOUS METALS IN PRECIOUS METAL COMPLEXES-TERROCIANATE IN REDUCED HEROFERRANEH DISSOLVED; b) RECOVER AT LEAST A PORTION OF PRECIOUS METALS FROM THE LEACHING SOLUTION, THROUGH CONTACT WITH AN ORGANIC EXTRACTION PHASE TO WHICH THE PRECIOUS METALS ARE TRANSFERRED OR WITH AN IONIC EXCHANGE RESIN OR WITH DISSOLVED CYANIDE, UNDERSTANDING THAT SOLUTION OF THE EFFLUTIVE A CONCENTRATION OF DISSOLVED FERRIC IRON LESS THAN THAT OF THE FEEDING; AND, c) INCREASE THE CONCENTRATION OF DISSOLVED FERRIC IRON IN THE LEACHING SOLUTION, IN RELATION TO THE CONCENTRATION OF DISSOLVED FERRIC IRON IN THE STERILE EFFLUENT, OXIDIZING THE FERROUS IRON TO ITS FERROUS FORM WITH PERSULPHATE. THE LEACHING SOLUTION IS KEPT AT A pH BETWEEN 1 AND 3 DURING THE RECOVERY PROCESS, THE MOLAR RATIO OF DISSOLVED FERRIC IRON TO DISSOLVED THIOCYANATE IS AT LEAST 2, AND THE CONCENTRATION OF DISSOLVED THIOCYANATE IN THE SOLUTION IS NOT GREATER THAN 0, 03 mol / L. THE ORGANIC EXTRACTION PHASE INCLUDES AN EXTRACTION AGENT CONTAINING PHOSPHORUS. BEFORE LEACHING, THE MINERAL MATERIAL IS PREPARED BY FORMING A PILE THAT INCLUDES PARTICULATE MATERIAL WITH SULFUROUS MINERALS, AND BIO-OXIDIZING SUCH MATERIAL TO DECOMPOSE THE SULFUROUS MINERALS
