abstract | SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUS SOLIDIFICATION AND / OR GRANULATION OF LIQUID MATERIALS, OF PREFERENCE MATTE, SLAG, ALLOYS, GOLD or SILVER IN INGOTS, METALS IN THEIR ELEMENTARY STATE AND ANY OTHER METALLIC COMPOUND OR INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT. THIS SYSTEM INCLUDES: i) AT LEAST ONE ELONGATED CYLINDRICAL BODY THAT HAS AN EXTERNAL SURFACE, AN INTERNAL SURFACE AND A CHANNEL THAT EXTENDS THROUGHOUT THE LONGITUDINAL SECTION OF THE BODY TO CIRCULATE A REFRIGERANT IN ITS ENCLOSURE SPACE BETWEEN THE INTERNAL SURFACE AND THE CHANNEL; ii) A WORKING SUBSTANCE, OF PREFERENCE POTASSIUM, SODIUM, CESIUM or THERMEX, CONTAINED IN THE ENCLOSED SPACE; iii) A WICK THAT COVERS THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE BODY TO RETAIN THE WORKING SUBSTANCE AND ENSURE A SUBSTANTIAL AND COMPLETE HOMOGENEOUS DISTRIBUTION OVER IT WHEN THE SYSTEM IS IN OPERATION; iv) AN OPTIONAL SCRAPERING MEDIA TO SCRAP AND GRANULATE THE SOLIDIFIED LIQUID MATERIALS ON THE EXTERNAL SURFACE OF THE BODY, WHERE WHEN THE BODY IS ROTATED, THE LIQUID MATERIAL CONTACTS CONTINUOUSLY WITH THE EXTERNAL HEAT AND TRANSFER SURFACE ON THE OUTER HEAT OF THE BODY THE WORKING SUBSTANCE ON THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE BODY, AND THE SOLIDIFIED MATERIAL IS SCRAPED AND GRANULATED BY THE SCRAPERING MEDIA |
