titleOfInvention Malate salt of n-(4-{ [6,7-bis(methyloxy)quinolin-4-yl] oxy} phenyl)-n’-(4-fluorophenyl)cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxamide, and crystalline forms thereof for the treatment of cancer
abstract Disclosed is the use of N-(4-{ [6,7-bis(methyloxy)quinolin-4-yl]oxy} phenyl)-N’-(4-fluorophenyl) cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxamide, malate salt (cabozantinib malate) in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a cancer selected from kidney cancer and liver cancer, wherein said salt is in crystalline Form N-1 or crystalline Form N-2. Form N-1 can be characterised by a powder x-ray diffraction pattern (CuKα λ=1.5418Å) comprising 2θ (±0.2 °2θ) values of: 6.4, 9.0, 12.0, 12.8, 13.5, 16.9, 18.2, 19.4, 21.5, 22.8, 24.0, 25.1 and 27.6. Form N-2 can be characterised by a powder x-ray diffraction pattern (CuKα λ=1.5418Å) comprising 2θ values (±0.2 °2θ) 6.4, 9.1, 12.0, 12.8, 13.7, 17.1, 18.2. 20.9, 21.9, 22.6 and 23.7.
