abstract Disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions and method of their preparation that provides long-term stability of a hydrolytically labile antipsychotic agent (e.g., aripiprazole or olanzapine). The method of preparation comprises the addition of: a) a non-ionic water insoluble and/or immiscible ester cosurfactant (e.g., a sorbitan ester such as sorbitan laurate); and (b) a water miscible and/or soluble non-ionic surfactant (a polyoxyethylene derivative of a sorbitan ester such as polysorbate 20).
