abstract | The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising: i) a glucokinase activator, ii) an anti-diabetic drug that is a GLP-1 analog, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and iii) at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient, diluent or mixture thereof, wherein the glucokinase activator is { 2-[3-cyclohexyl-3-(trans-4-propoxy-cyclohexyl)-ureido]-thiazol-5-ylsulfanyl} -acetic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the GLP-1 analog is exenatide, and wherein the combination of the glucokinase activator and the anti-diabetic drug is an amount sufficient to reduce levels of HbA1c in a human suffering from type II diabetes, and to uses of such a composition in the manufacture of a medicament for treating type II diabetes. |
