titleOfInvention Waste processing system
abstract Systems and methods are needed that (a) minimize human waste exposure to air and chance of waste release into surface water or groundwater and (b) reduce energy processing for both clean water and fertilizer and/or fuel pellets. Generally, a system is needed to efficiently and rapidly remove liquid from human waste and speed processing into clean water, fertilizer and/or fuel. The invention provides a waste processing device comprising: a first pump containing a plurality of high-pressure injectors for liquefying a solid waste material; a process tank receiving the liquefied solid waste material from the first pump; a mixer creating a slurry material within the process tank; a rotary vacuum drum filter positioned within a basin, with the basin receiving the slurry material from the process tank; a filter aid applied to a surface of the drum filter; a solids tank; an indexing knife positioned to remove the filter aid and solid material from a surface of the drum filter, with removed filter aid and solid material being directed to the solids tank; a process liquid bulk tank receiving liquid recovered through the rotary vacuum drum filter; a second pump for redirecting some of the liquid back to the plurality of high-pressure injectors for liquefying other solid waste; and a value-added fertilizer container collecting another portion of the liquid from the process liquid bulk tank.
