titleOfInvention | Mlk inhibitors and methods of use |
abstract | Disclosed are compounds of formula (I) having an inhibitory effect on Mixed Lineage Kinases (MLK). Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions, methods of preparing the compounds, synthetic intermediates, and methods of using the compounds, independently or in combination with other therapeutic agents, for treating diseases and conditions which are affected by Mixed Lineage Kinase inhibition. Also provided are methods of treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders which comprise the inhibition of Mixed Lineage Kinases. Examples of compounds of formula (I) are: 2-phenyl-N-{ 4-[5-(3,4,5-trimethoxy-phenyl)-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]-benzyl} -acetamide and 3-phenyl-N-{ 4-[5-(3,4,5-trimethoxy-phenyl)-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]-benzyl} -propionamide. |
