abstract ABSTRACT - 604064 The disclosure relates to a use of misoprostol in the manufacture of an insert comprising 200 mcg misoprostol for induction of labour in a female by intravaginal administration of an insert comprising a cross-linked reaction product of a diisocyanate, a triol and a polyethylene glycol, and 200 mcg misoprostol, wherein time to vaginal delivery in the female is decreased in comparison to a female induced for labour using Cervidil insert, and wherein the improvement in induction of labour is in comparison to a female induced for labour using a Cervidil insert, and wherein administering intravaginally is one or more of contacting the vagina, cervix, uterus, or any combination thereof of said female with an insert comprising misoprostol. .
