abstract |
Disclosed is a double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) for inhibiting the expression of a human proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) gene in a cell, wherein said dsRNA comprises a sense strand and an antisense strand that are complementary to each other and wherein said sense strand comprises a first sequence that comprises a sequence of mRNA encoding PCSK9 from position 1091 to position 1109 of Accession No. NM174936 (the sequence 5'-GCCUGGAGUUUAUUCGGAA-3') or that comprises said sequence of mRNA wherein one or more nucleotides thereof is modified, and wherein said antisense strand comprises a second sequence that hybridizes to said sequence of mRNA. |
