A method of detecting cells comprising applying one or more types of cells to a surface comprising a colormetric resonant reflectance optical biosensor. The cells are bound to the surface by a specific binding substance selected from nucleic acids, proteins, antibody, antigen, small organic molecules, other cells, virus, bacteria, polymer and biological sample. Binding is then directly detected without washing the biosensor surface by illuminating the vessel with light. A shift in the peak wavelength values is indicative of specific binding substance-to-cell binding. The method can also be applied to detect binding of molecules involved in cell adhesion, cell migration, cell chemotaxis and cell invasion. (62) Divided Out of 546636 |
