abstract |
An isolated double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) for inhibiting the expression of a human kinesin family member 11 (Eg5) gene in a cell. The dsRNA comprises a sense strand and an anti-sense strand, wherein the anti-sense strand is complementary to the SEQ ID NO: 1311. In a particular embodiment the dsRNA sense strand is SEQ ID NO: 135 and the anti-sense strand is SEQ ID NO: 136 and the dsRNA molecule is capable of inhibiting a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) gene that comprises a sense strand comprising SEQ ID NO: 1242 and an anti-sense strand comprising SEQ ID NO: 1243. The dsRNA is used in the treatment of hyperproliferative disorders in particular hepatic carcinoma. |
