Disclosed is the use of polycyclic phenolic compounds which have up to 20 benzene rings per molecule and are obtained by reacting a tetrahydrobenzoxazine of the general formula I, wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification, with one or more of the same or different phenols of the general formula II, wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification, and/or with one or more of the same or different tetrahydrobenzoxazines of the general formula I, as antioxidants for stabilizing inanimate organic material against the action of light, oxygen and heat. |
