Disclosed herein is a solid dosage colonic purgative formulation for oral administration comprising a therapeutically effective amount of polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 8000, electrolytes and a lubricant, wherein the formulation comprises between about 50w/w% to about 90 w/w% PEG 8000. Said dosage is useful for purging the colon of a patient. |
