Disclosed is a substituted 3-alkyl indol-2·one derivative of the general Formula (I), wherein R1 and R2 independently represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or trifluoromethyl; R3 represents hydrogen; R4 and R5 independently represent hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl alkyl or alkoxy; m is an integer from 1-4, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. Also disclosed is the use of a compound as defined above for the manufacture of a medicament suitable for the treatment or prophylaxis of central nervous disorders (such as depression, anxiety, compulsory disease, panic disease, social phobia, schizophrenia, mood disorders, mania, mental decline, stroke, cell death in certain parts of the central nervous system, neurodegeneration followed by mental decline, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, post-traumatic disease, or stress disease) or disorders of the cardiovascular system (such as hypertension). |
