abstract Disclosed is a quaternized quinuclidine ester of formula (I): wherein the substituents are defined in the specification and X- represents a pharmaceutically acceptable anion of a mono or polyvalent acid; provided that the group B-(CH2)n-A-(CH2)m- is not a linear C1-4 alkyl group and further provided that the compound is not one of: 1-Allyloxycarbonylmethyl-3-(2-hydroxy-2,2-di-thiophen-2-yl-acetoxy)-1-azonia-bicyclo- [2.2.2]octane; and 1-carboxymethyl-3-(2-hydroxy-2,2-di-thiophen-2-yl-acetoxy)-1-azonia-bicyclo[2.2.2]octane. Also disclosed is a process for producing said esters, pharmaceutical compositions comprising said esters, the use of the ester in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of respiratory, urological or gastrointestinal disease or disorder and a combination product comprising said ester.
