Disclosed are heparin-derived oligosaccharide mixtures, having an average molecular weight from 1,800 to 2,400 daltons. The oligosaccharide mixtures have the general structure of the constituent polysaccharides of heparin and have an anti-Xa activity of between 190 IU/mg and 450 IU/mg and an anti-IIa activity of less than 0.2 IU/mg. The constituent oligosaccharides of the mixtures contain from 2 to 16 saccharide units, have a 4,5-unsaturated uronic acid 2-O-sulfate unit at one of their ends, and contain the hexasaccharide of the depicted formula, in the form of an alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal salt. Also disclosed is the preparation method thereof and to the pharmaceutical compositions containing said mixtures. |
