A method of making a heterogeneous building block array is disclosed, the method comprising: applying building blocks to a solid support in a plurality of spots, each spot comprising a plurality of building blocks; independently coupling each of the plurality of building blocks to the solid support in the spots; wherein a first spot comprises a first combination of building blocks and a 10 second spot comprises a second combination of building blocks. The disclosed method is useful for making artificial receptors. Also disclosed are specific building blocks. |
