Described are methods for producing an active constituent of a pharmaceutical or a diagnostic agent, whereby (a) Mandine Derby canine kidney (MDCK) cells are infected with a virus, and (b) the MDCK cells are cultivated in a suspension culture on a technical scale and under conditions which enable viruses to multiply, the cultivation being carried out in a volume of at least 30 litres. Also described are methods for producing a pharmaceutical or a diagnostic agent, whereby an active constituent is produced according to one of the abovementioned methods and is mixed with a suitable adjuvant, auxiliary agent, buffer solution, diluting agent or pharmaceutical carrier. |
