| abstract | Disclosed herein is a masterbatch for making coloured thermoplastics, which includes a chlorinated polyolefin, one or more of an acrylic processing aid, calcium stearate and wax processing aid; an acrylic impact modifier and at least one dye, pigment or functional additive, wherein the masterbatch is substantially free of PVC; a multipurpose masterbatch carrier which includes a chlorinated polyolefin, one or more of an acrylic processing aid, calcium stearate and wax processing aid; an acrylic impact modifier and at least one dye, pigment or functional additive, wherein the carrier is substantially free of PVC; and a method of making such a carrier is disclosed. The carrier is preferably for use with dyes, pigments, functional additives of the like, which may, for example, be added to the masterbatch when the masterbatch is being manufactured. |
